There used to be an animated ASCII version of ANH done in a java applet but I can't find it anymore. The person who did that REALLY had too much time.

actually i didnt draw it and I am very dissapointed it didnt copy over properly :(

If I was going to draw an ASCII image of an alcoholic beverage it would be a can of redbull w/ a vodka shooter mounted on an BM mobile launcher...........now thats class :)

It takes a mono-spaced font for it to work properly.

All this technology talk is too much for me. I know how to turn on a computer, run some programs, and crash the program - done that plenty of times at work just last week!!! Then I had to ring Sydney to get it fixed.

You don't have to be a computer guru. Just leave that up to your astromech droid. You do have one don't you?

Astromech droid? Didn't you know that I crashed that too?! I sold it to the Jawas - they gave me a good price for the scrap metal!

Go there, scroll down the bottom, hit "Connect", and type in "starwars".

That's the ASCII version of ANH. That guy has WAAAAAY too much time on his hands .. :)

(This coming from the girl that watched it all the way through to check if it was actually the entire film)

We watched it through several times, while it was being created, just to see how much further he'd gotten with it. :)

Cool. It disappeared from its old address and I'd been wanting to find it again.
