^ Well it did for the bespectacled one :D

Dang, Mike's made 100 movies?!? Chang Cheh smiles at him from above (Chang Cheh's dream was to make 100 movies.)

Blade of the Immortal looks like it could be a fun rental.

    Give it to Lucas!

    J/K

However, I would love it if Spielberg directed a Star Wars film. Some speculate that Rian Johnson might return to direct Episode 9.

I was down with the Queen movie when Sascha Baron Cohen was cast as Freddy Mercury, but not so much since he left the role. Rami Malek is not a inspired choice for Freddy and that photo of him as Freddy is so photoshopped. I'll wait for this movie to hit home video before I watch it.

Abrams back for Ep9. Safe choice I suppose.

You would think that people wouldn't mess with the family of someone who trained both Batman and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and was either a deity or the metaphoric equivalent of a deity in two fandoms.

Rogue1-and-a-half - if you haven't seen The Hero with Sam Elliott, I highly recommend. One of the best films I've seen this year, in spite of Laura Prepon, who I have never liked in anything. The best performance from Sam that I can ever remember seeing.

I really wanted to catch that. Elliott's having something of a renaissance of late. I didn't care that much for Grandma, the Lily Tomlin movie from . . . last year, I think, but I thought Elliott's performance in that was just masterful; way darker than he usually goes. And I loved the last movie from the director of The Hero, I'll See You In My Dreams with Blythe Danner. I'll have to catch up to The Hero.

Fun fact, I was going to go see The Hero, but the projector broke. I ended up seeing The Beguiled instead.

Mother is definitely something that has to be experienced. At least if you're a film lover. The casual film goer may want to skip it.

It & Mother are my two biggest priorities right now. Finances being what they are, I've been forced to pare down my movie-going of late. Columbus is my number three, but I bet it's going to disappear right out from under me. Sounds like a movie that'll be in theaters about a week. Probably not going to get to a movie this weekend though. Oh, well. Ingrid Goes West already vanished on me as did The Little Hours. I really don't get people who act like it's super-rare for a movie to be good or interesting these days. There's like a constant five to ten movies in theaters that I'd like to see.
