Disney has so much faith in Mary Poppins 2 they would not move Solo to the holiday spot and push MP 2 to early November. I am not seeing it at all.

 

Besides, Disney already has their version of the Nutcracker in early November, plus Wreck-It-Ralph 2 on Thanksgiving weekend.

 

They did forget Powers. That’s like 5 big names missed. I’d fire whoever did it for forgetting Booth alone.

Kind of interested in this one due to Alex Ross Perry writing the script.

 

So Fred Durst is writing/directing a movie starring John Travolta. Travolta will be playing Durst in the movie. It's called Moose and it's about something that really happened to Durst in a real life concerning a stalker. Who's excited?

 

This is interesting. I like how different their takeaways from it were:

 

Jesus, who was in it? I mean, I get maybe forgetting some obscure individuals or people on the production side of things. But Tobe Hooper, Glen Campbell, Powers Boothe? Those are hardly easily overlooked.

Yeah, Sorry to bother you looks like an Wes Anderson type of film with the colorful backgrounds and wonderful/bizarre imagery. But it also has some social satire and commentary. Doubtful I'll see it in a theater though, as I don't think it was get a wide release, but if it did, I'd still wait for a home video release.

Is he serious when he says that everybody knows everything about Ready Player One because the book was such a hot best-seller? Because I literally know nothing about it. But I couldn't totally tell when he was being sarcastic and when he was being serious.

 

I think it's sarcasm.

 

I had to find this thread and vent, because I just watched Mudbound on Netflix, and OH MY GOD! How the hell did this movie not get more nominations? Mary J. Blige did a good job but I don't think it was worthy of nomination. Everyone else did a much better job. Very impressed with Garrett Hedlund's acting in this movie. Its just a travesty, and I have to believe its Netflix prejudice from the Academy.

I'm just flabergasted. I mean, hell, The Phantom Thread wasn't half as good as this movie. Just unbelievable.

 

I had to look him up because the guy next to Lundgren looks like a bit like a russian UFC fighter. Interesting that they hired an actual boxer with no acting experience to play Drago's son.

 

New comedy film coming out called ‘Tag’ about a group of grown men who play an over-the-top game of tag. It honestly looks great. Great cast too.

However, yeah, probably around 30 years since Drago.
