I think Cruise will be doing the MI movies well into his 70s at least.

So, when Sacha Baron Cohen dropped out of the role to play Freddie Mercury so did my interest in the film. Moreso, that Bryan Singer was directing it and then him being "fired" in the middle of production.

However, after seeing the teaser trailer, I have a renewed interest in seeing the film. It looks pretty authentic to the days and times of Freddie Mercury.

they apparently left any mention of aids out of the film. seems like kind of an important detail.

Why did Sacha Baron Cohen's departure make a difference? I can't even picture him in a serious role like this; especially a biopic.

For me, the Cohen was the perfect choice to play Mercury because of his physical likeness and acting ability. It seemed like a natural fit.

I think "Walk The Line" was the biopic not "Walk Hard."

I think gezvader was referring to the spoof music biopic Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walk_Hard:_The_Dewey_Cox_Story

    Edit: Damn it, tom!

    I'm just too slow. :(

That was more of a mockumentary tho , Walk Hard was a spoof on the spate of musician bio-pics which always seemed to have the same story .

I never saw Walk Hard so I'll take your word for it.

As for biopics on musicians, I really haven't seen many of them. But, I did like La Bamba, Walk the Line and Straight Outta Compton. From what I understand, 8 Mile was loosely based on Marshall Mathers' life, which I also enjoyed. I still have yet to see, the Tupac biopic, All Eyez On Me.

Anyone that likes games shows, movie trivia set in a pro-wrestling style format (with heroes and heels), I recommend checking out the Schmoedown Tag Team Championship match. The actual match starts at the 19:45 mark of the video, but for all the histrionics and the bad blood/tension that's a big element to this matchup, start from the beginning.

It looks funny, but I'm just not a huge fan of Melissa McCarthy.

That's not something I thought I'd ever see. You can tell it's trying really hard to be as raunchy as possible. Who knows, might appeal to the partying college types.

Muppet jizz is maybe the last thing I ever expected to see in my lifetime. Well behind zombie apocalypse and John Lennon and George Harrison successfully cloned from DNA samples in an attempt to reunite the Beatles.

So they've done the teddy bear comes to life (Ted), the Pixar/CGI bit (Sausage Party), and now they're involving muppet-like characters. What's left in this string of R-rated flicks presented in a typical family-style setting?

Hmm. Maybe one that spoofs Disney fairy tales. Like Enchanted, but rated R.

Well after Disney's done about twelve sequels off of its original animated feature from decades ago, what's left but to go the live action route?
