So yeah, I somehow missed this. And I really don’t know what to feel about it. Shame Black at the helm has me optimistic, but this just looks like a better looking version of that **** AVP sequel.
Do we really need a super Predator?
And “stiff” the ranger. I just can’t get into characters like that played by actors like that. There are like 5 or 6 actors in Hollywood who fit the bill of poor mans Jay Courtney. Jay being a poor mans cool hero character actor on top of that. I want the predator to kill him immediately and it doesn’t look like that will happen.
Not feeling it right now
There aren't a lot of movies set in Chattanooga, TN, which surprises me a bit. It's a great location. Meanwhile, the trailer for Skyscraper.
Allow me to sum up the movie:
The Rock's character has a prosthetic leg. You may assume that it figures significantly in the plot, and you will be correct. Does he wield it as a weapon? You bet! How bout as some kind of advanced technical climbing/mountaineering device? Yes! Is it played for cheap emotion? Of course! Does the Rock wear it with his usual confidence and charismatic style? Obviously!
So in other words, just wait for the sequel, "Skyscraper: Welcome to the Urban Jungle".
Are you saying he has a leg up on the competition?

WTF, Die Hard is getting a prequel?
I am quite happy there is to be a District 10, or at least he means to make it.
FLASH GORDON 2???? WHAT? The source is an interview from 2015.
Sherlock Holmes 3 has a release date. How the hell would Adler make a return though? Coma?
Jeez, if they ever came out with Gladiator 2 where Maximus somehow comes back from the dead, that would completely ruin the original movie. Just leave it alone!
Gretta Gerwig is considering directing an adaptation of Little Women, while Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, and Timothee Chalamet are in talks to star.
I dunno, presumably the same way she was in any of those films: they pulled something out of their ass.
Suspiria remake trailer
As a big fan of the original, the remake actually looks good (it captures that horror fairy tale vibe quite well while doing completely different things with color and music).
New Child’s Play remake in development by IT producers.
Mike, Kevin & Bill look at the top movies from 1988:
That's a shame. The first VOD sequel, Curse of Chucky was the best one since the original (not saying that much) and Cult of Chucky got decent reviews as well.
Supposedly while the new movie will be a reboot, there's still a Child's Play series in the works which will be a continuation of the existing franchise, with Dourif still involved.
Apparently, Idris Elba will be the villain in the Shaw & Hobbs-focused Fast & Furious spin-off.
Gundam movie in the works.
On the one hand, awesome. On the other CGI explosion.
Would love to see something with cgi and model work mixed.
Stanley Kubrick Gives His Interpretation on the Ending of ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’
This is kinda hilarious- they've been advertising this movie since forever since the release date got pushed back. But I don't think i've ever seen an advertising campaign change its tone between trailers so radically as this. The first trailer had this serious survival thing going with the family dying and the boy thought dead with no narration and little dialogue. Now it's being played as a feel good family film complete with comforting narrator. Which is it?
Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker origin movie is moving forward at WB.
Never a fan of Joker having an origin. Am a fan of a movie where the movie involves multiple Origin stories being told.
So wait, Joaquin AND Jared Leto are both the Joker but Joaquin gets to do the origin ?
Yeah, that makes complete sense.
The Joker origin film will be an Elseworlds-type deal not in-continuity with the rest of the DCEU, last i read.
Or it'll end up being a different Joker since there's the theory that the Leto Joker is actually a former Robin.
Yeah this looks rad as hell.
Manhattan model from Escape From New York
So Duncan Jones' next movie will be a comic book film, he hasn't mentioned what one yet.
@DarthMane2 I could look at EFNY behind the scenes shots all day.
You're making the critical (but not uncommon) error of assuming a crappy CGI-effects only live action Gundam film would be an unprecedented disappointment rather than a simple matter of history repeating itself. Bandai has nothing to lose.
