Atmospheric dogfight over Geonosis

I don't see how it's any busier than the ending of the other films. It's not like the other films ended with the characters sitting around playing chess.

Everything is gonna go off in this sequence, but it wont be a case of constantly cutting to different scenes (i think) cos everything will be happening in the background, foreground, all over the bloody place!

hi, im' new to the board and enjoyed reading all the opinions. i may be way off, but aren't the "clones" in the new movie the storm troopers? after all, stormtroopers ARE clones. weren't they were developed to replace the batte droids, since they can't funtion once their control ship is destroyed?

With Jedi Starfighters engaging Droid Starfighters in the aerial battle I wonder if we'll get to see Saesee Tiin impressing us with his piloting skills? This from the "Episode I Visual Dictionary" :-

"An Iktotchi pilot, Saesee Tiin is
best able to focus while travelling at
extremely high speeds - at the controls
of the finest spacecraft."

Any insiders want to shed some light on this?

Maybe you could answer this for me - do Obi-Wan and Anakin pursue Dooku aboard the gunship or do they disembark and give chase on some other speeder or transport?

They spot Dookus speeder at the base of a tower and make a decision to pursue him on foot. This is the scene you may have seen in the Breathing trailer with Ani and OB1 running towards the camera, sabers ignited.

I hope so. Kinda remeniscent of the whole Independence Day fight near the end. I love those pitched air-to-air battles.

 

Creel,Saesee Tiin is in the arena fight it was confermed in some pic of TOS with padme and Ani and you could see his head in the backround.

 

General Ceel, Obi-Wan and Anakin spot Dooku escaping the arena from the gunship. They pursue him in the gunship until they see that he's landed by one of the towers, at which point they land and run inside the tower, as seen in the breathing trailer.

HookLineAndSinker, that's one of the points I'm not sure on. Personally, I think that there are more than one gunship in the arena that the Jedi run onto, and Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padme run onto a gunship of their own. But it's not a point I'm sure on. You'll need to talk to SI about that for the truth.

PLO--KOON, pretty much everything you know about Episode 2 now is because SI revealed the info in spy reports. Look in the TFN or Ep-X archives and you'll find them.

Plo is right, although Saesee Tiin is a pilot, he is in the arena battle.

I'm pretty sure he will also be one of the '15' remaining Jedi that form the defensive circle before the Clones arrive.
(if you've seen the connections footage, you can see him along with Anakin, Padme etc... in the defensive circle)

He looked cooler in TPM.

 

Yes but most reports say that Saesee Tinn does not survive and how does he die if he is so close to makeing it to the gunship.

 

Hook, it's a fact that six gunships land in the arena. Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme all head for the one ship. When Dooku is spotted, the gunship pursues the sppeder, until Dooku reaches the tower thing and heads in. Then Obi-Wan and Anakin jump strait down and head towards Dooku sabres ignited as shown in the breathing trailer, where you can still see Dookus speeder in the background.
