I got mine in QBD for $30. And then a minutes (or less) later, I saw it for $23 in Target, dammit!!!!

 

You should have taken it back to QBD for a refund! Should have said it was a birthday present, but got it mixed up, your friend is a Star TREK fan not a Star WARS fan - hey, it could work!

Storewide 15% off are always on a Sunday / Monday - however, departmental specific sales occur during different times.

I don't think that there is one this Thursday...

What did you guys think of the ligh-sabers?

I saw too there, there were some really expensive ones that made noises, and there were some silent ones, but i ddnt think they were very long!!!!

 

But those short lightsabres are cool cause they don't pop open when they're upside down.

 

The $30 sabers were only about 60cm I guess. The $68 ones said on the front 3 feet, which I think is 90cm...not bad I guess...but I'm not sure if it reracts back into its handle afterwards or not.

 

Bah. If you're anything like me and my friends, yoiu'll be pulling the sabers apart and replacing the blades with foam rubber. I think I personally destroyed half a dozen sabers for TPM.

 

Damn I wish I had enough money to buy one of them AND get tickets...

 

I was disappointed by the saber toys, i was expecting them to be really cool from the way a friend was describing them.

I'm just gonna do what I did last time, and wait until the prices are slashed. (The books, I mean, I don't buy toys). After some months, Borders will be offloading the books for $8 a pop, and they'll be giving away those pictoral guides in showbags at the Easter show.

 

Mick, it was either pay $39.95 or wait longer, impatience won. Besides, I'm part of the BookLovers at Dymocks, and actually got about $15 off the price with all the stuff I've accrued in the last couple of weeks buying books as presents.

 

I'm going to be in France when AOTC comes out so I may as well buy the novel so I know what the hell they're saying. My girlfriend speaks French but I think her translating for me will probably piss off everyone in the cinema.
