I'm going to wait for the paperback to come out. Those hardcovers are too big. I take a train to and from work and read on the train. I don't want to lug a great big heavy book in my bag.

You know, I've still got my red lightsabre from the mid-eighties. I wonder how much that would be worth now?

    NEAT! I wouldn't sell it:)

I prefer paperback too, hard cover is too heavy, and cost is much more.

There IS a 15% off sale at Kmart today. Your trickery wasn'tgoing to fool me.

I might duck over and put the book on lay-by with some DVDs, that way I'll get the book after I've seen the movie and the credit card isn't hit with a bulk billing.

I went to my local shopping center today, all ready to buy it...

And since I'm not sure I DO trust myself not to read it, I decided not to buy it after all. :p

    Brava, Shara.

    Wish I had your willpower.

Saw it. Bought it. Read it. Enjoyed it. Hated myself.

    :)

For anyone who has read it - and don't fear there are NO SPOILERS here - did you notice the alarming number of typos in the book?

Can anyone say RUSHED TO MARKET?

And another thought: considering how long it takes to publish a book, Salvatore must have finished it about 6 months ago or so. Or even if it was a last minute 11.59pm job, it would still be wrapped up a few months ago - yet Lucas is still editing, right up to the week before release - so how close is the novel going to be to film?

I know of at least three scenes I read in the book that have supposedly been cut from the film.

Oh well. The life of the spoiled I guess.

    :(

Yeah, especially in the first couple of chapters. It's something that's been a problem with recent Del Rey SW books. I think that they might need to have a look at their proof readers.
