Attention fans in Western Canada Re: Celebration III

Greetings!!

Here in Edmonton, we are currently looking into renting a charter bus and driving down to C3. The price is fairly reasonable, if we can get enough warm bodies.

The bus and company we are looking at can provide us with a coach that carries 40 people. Currently we can probably speak that 12-16 of those seats are filled at the moment, with people from Edmonton and Calgary.

Our current plan is to travel from Edmonton and pick up a contingent of people in Calgary, and then head south to C3. (We might be able to make a stop in Winnipeg/Regina as well, depending on what route the charter company wants to take, and if there are enough people)

We were hoping that people would be interested in taking the journey with us to C3. All that would be required is for you to get to Calgary or Edmonton (as of right now).

We have priced out the bus and it would be a rate of $11,000 for the week, and that includes 2 drivers. We would also have to pay for accomodations for the drivers at C3, but that is not a big deal. (This is only one of the companies that has gotten back to us; hopefully we can find something cheaper)

Now, doing the math that works out to $275 per person if we got a full load (40) people and:

$315 / 35 people
$367 / 30
$440 / 25
$550 / 20

Of course, the more people that we can get, the cheaper it is per person. Would there be any intrest from any of you in an idea like this?

I think this would be a great way to get to C3 as it would let us all get to know each other on the way there and back, as well as being one heck of a fun road trip!!!
