Oregon Aug OFF Meeting?

If you guys would like to have a meeting:

Aug 21st, Aug 28th, or even Sept 3rd.
Times: noon, afternoon.

I just joined up and am beyond stoked to have the chance to talk shop with some locals. I vote for Sept 3rd.

 

The 21st or the 28th is good for me. On the 3rd, I will be at Dragon*Con. Hopefully we can all connect (or reconnect) soon. I am missing my OFF buddies!

Yes, and I can always order more. When we did a bulk order they were like $12 a shirt.... I think. To order them individually, they are like $25, I think.

Every shirt was accounted for, I think. I believe I got every shirt to their rightful paid owner. If not, then I need to make sure I get the situation resolved, double-quick!

Im up for noonish in Portland on the 28th. being how tomorrow is the 21st and the 3rd I am planning on attending the pirate faire in Saint helens

I'm willing to drive anywhere. We've tried to meet up in Salem with nobody showing up. While I don't want to burn any bridges with anyone, I don't want to waste a trip down to Salem if folks aren't going to show up. If that's the case, we might as well look at keeping it in the Portland Metro area....

That's an easy halfway point.

Oops. I thought the 28th was Sat. I will be at the Enchanted Forrest for the afternoon on Sunday . I may be able to swing by around 5 if anyone is still around. If someone who is there wouldn't mind updating this board with how long you may stay, I can check and swing by if anyone is around still.

I am going to try and be there around 3. I have a wierd thing I have to do at 6 for my daughter's preschool in St. Helens and with Hood to coast muffing up Everything with their antics it makes a bit of a commute, so not sure how long we will stay. But looking forward.

 

If folks are still there to chit-chat, I am sure I will be there, too. I think we've had meetings go 3 or 4 hours, so I think it would be safe to say that there may be some people there around 5.

I'm getting stoked. I'll have my wife with me. Is that or . We can stay for a beer/pitcher and then gotta jet back to Silverton. Should I bring anything? Book trades?

 

I might show up today. Not sure if I have a ride today or not.

 

We had a pretty good time, today. Sorry that I showed up late (even sorrier that I locked my keys in my car ). We all ended up staying until right around 5pm. Unfortunately we all had to go do our own things. So Jershbi, if you showed up anbd we were already gone, my sincerest apologies. Next time we will make sure we have a meeting that is as flexible as possible for everyone.

In attendance were Brigandarklung, JawaFett w/ his son, JEDIGUNSHIP w/ his mom, and myself. Here's a pic:


Things discussed were collectibles, upcoming book releases and my Celebration V experience.

We ended up riding the log ride a few times more than intended so we didn't get out until 530. My kid is 8 and he would get a serious kick out of talking serious with another kid about the series'ss's. Next time then.

 

It was great to see and meet all once again. The next time will not be soon enough. Thanks for the good times and all the info. It's nice to just geek out face to face once in a while.
