Seattle, WA August 12th Meeting--Ren Faire

10 in Burien sounds fine! I know how to get to Burien! Yeah! But where exactly is this Starbucks? There are just so many Starbucks around! LOL!

 

The one I'm thinking of is on 1st and 148th in Burien. If you take 509, there's a specific exit for that road. It's in the parking lot of Safeway.

BTW, this is NOT the one down the road by Albertsons (about 10 blocks away), though that one is nicer. It's harder to get to though due to traffic.

Hi: This is dragonmar from the Mos Everett group. Some of us are going overnight on the first weekend of the faire, but I go every weekend. I would be coming from Renton and could give people rides. I go to the faire every year and really have enjoyed it a lot. The Seattle Knights are no longer coming to this faire, but the people they had last year were really very good. The location of the faire is very dusty and can get very hot except in the area by the troll bridge.
Since it is a fantasy faire you can wear almost anything. I'm a pirate this year. I look forward to meeting some of you there. Let me know the plans. Thanks.

We are all meeting at the Starbucks on 1st and 148th in Burien for a short meeting and to see who is riding with whom. From there we'll drive to Gig Harbor and hopefully meet up again around noon. We are meeting at the jousting area. I am not sure about everyone else, but I'll be in ren-dress. Most of us also will have lightsabers (a friend who works for the ren faire asked me not to bring one, but we will see ) so we will be easy to spot.

Need any other info, post.

Awesome! Yep, 10am at Starbucks. I'll be in 4" boots, big pink and green wings, and have a venti coffee (venti americano with white chocolate if anyone cares). Yvette will be in THE MOST AMAZING DRESS EVER. You won't be able to miss us.

It's a deal I'll probably be in civilian attire this time though I only have my Halloween outfit, and I have a feeling it's going to be nice and toasty that day. I'll try and sport some "Star Warsy" (is that a word?) to keep it real.

How about a blaster? I have some nice Jango blasters, and they can't be mistaken for "real", so I won't get arrested on my way to Ren Faire (OOoohh, that'd make the news!)

Oh man, I hope you're gonna do a KOTOR or pre-KOTOR sith, because you'll look awesome with Eledaia and I... we're gonna be going as "ancient jedi". fun fun.

 

My Sith costume isn't period-specific. So, it could conceivably be from the KOTOR era.
