Yes, kiddies, it's that time again. We'll be meeting at 6PM on August 21st at South Park Mall. On the agenda this time:

Parents get home that day from vacation, but I don't see why I can't make it.

Gosh freaking darn it, I can't ever make it to anyone's FanForce meetings. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't work 'til 8 on Saturdays for the GR meetings, and it wouldn't be so bad if I weren't coming back to Ohio five days later for the Cleveland meeting.

It's times like these when being a college kid is supremely frustrating.

Everyone on the council (with the exception of Steve) knows the basic idea, since nothing is set in stone (yet) I don't want it out until the August meeting. Let's just say I have an idea for a really good PR opportunity for us.

 

I have the dayy off so no problem. Now I just have to resist buying too much a Godiva's.

Well, we've been having trouble coordinating our meetings well. Two people showed up at the last one, and missed each other by about ten minutes. Now, they're being held at Barnes & Noble, so I have to say I would've waited longer if I were the first guy, since I'd have literally hours of entertainment at my disposal anyway. Another meeting was set up for a week later, don't know if anyone showed because, as per usual, I was working.

And I know there'll be lots of meetings and activities once I'm back in town. And I've even got my driver's permit, so one of these years I'll even have a car to be able to drive myself to stuff. Hopefully next year. But it's still kinda frustrating to sit around all summer and not be able to do anything. None of the other guards are SW nerds, either, so I can't really have a good discussion with them. Joe has picked back up on his high school habit of calling me "Star Wars" rather than my real name.

Ah well. I still have my best friend. She and I can talk SW for hours, when both of us are off work, and that is happiness.

 

I might be able to come. I'm not sure because it's the day before I go back to school, so I might be too busy packing and stuff.

Ooo, excitement update! Grand Rapids has pulled off a second meeting (I was, once again, working), and now on the 21st, they'll have their third meeting, where they'll do all the fancy voting stuff, and we'll be an official chapter. That means we might be able to do more stuff next summer, and I can know ahead of time when meetings are going to be so I know what days not to work, seeing as I worked every Saturday this summer.

Yay. If I'm home by 7 pm, which I sincerely hope we will be, I might try to bribe someone to take me to the mall. I'll even offer to drive, if it'll convince them. *brandishes scary learner's permit*

gbonkers, do you always work on Saturday nights? Reason I ask is typically we have meetings and such on Saturdays (3rd Sat of every other month) as well as other fun events at different times. We should get back to moving the time around, to allow people working evenings a chance to join us...so we'll catch ya sometime soon!
