August meeting & location Poll

Here is your chance to influence next month's meeting location and destination. There is a separate thread for discussion or add it in here. Do we play it safe with the usual place, or take RMFF on the road? The poll will close 8/2 to allow for two weeks to prepare/arrange schedule/transportation, etc.

 

Saturday the 15th in San Diego.

 

So Grimby thinks San Diego is within limits. Anyone Else?

Just looked it up...dang it, I am not sure I have a costume for their theme that day

In case anyone missed it (which I forgot about) they're having "Sci-Fi costume day" at their bar that day.
From their FB event:

Come join us as we celebrate all that we have grown to love about sci-fi geek culture. We encourage patrons to come dressed in their favorite sci-fi film or series cosplay. We will also be releasing our latest lineup of sci-fi inspired drinks to help with lift-off into the galaxy! Come one, come all.


And, FYI, we rarely have events at a bar since it requires patrons to be 21 and up. This meeting would be an exception to that rule...our first one in a very long time, but an okay exception, I believe.

I called D&D to let them know we'll be coming. I'm not sure if we'll get many more than the 7 people who said yes, but I guess we'll find out. I said 2:00, so that we're know completely changing everything about the meeting

I assume you meant that we're not completely changing everything. Sounds good! I'll do a Facebook event and post it on our FB page. I'll also change the title to the August meeting thread. Thanks thejackal327!
