August meeting

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for... Er, um, yeah.

Our next meeting is on Saturday, August 2 at 2:00pm in the Titusville library. I'll post directions in the next day or two for those who need them. Can you believe that the rooms were actually booked for the rest of the Saturdays in July? I was amazed and astounded.

Anyway, we can discuss things like Dragon*Con and ideas on how to increase membership, and whatever else people want to talk about.

I can tell ya right now- I will not be there- that is the day of the Orlando Fanforce meeting. Tell me how it goes.

 

That's when Orlando's meeting is, huh? Hmm.

What about jumping back to July 26th and just having our meeting at a restaurant instead of the library?

I could do that. We could hold at the Merritt Island Barnes and Noble. That's about half way between Melbourne and Titusville- I'd say have it at the Melbourne one- but as far as space- that place blows- but that's my suggestion. How many people we expecting to go? Cause I mean honestly- if it's just you and I- that's cool- but is it worth having a meeting? What about August 3rd- Sunday?

 

I'll be there to whenever it is.

I have no preference on days or places.

 

I'd rather have a quiet, private place for the meeting proper. I'm all for hittin' a restaurant before or after, though!

Art suggested just attending the Orlando meeting this time on August 2 instead of holding our own. Is anyone planning on attending a MLB/Titusville meeting that does not want to do this? I'm sure we could still hit a restaurant before or afterwards. I know Mayo is still in Denmark, and I'm assuming Ruckus was going to the Orlando meeting anyway.

I think it is a good idea for this meeting. Especially since it will only be three of us and Ruckus already goes to the Orlando meetings.

 

Well I am glad you made that suggestion- cause I was gonna say I won't be at the meeting- if we still even had one? This weekend? But I still intend to go to the one in Orlando- odd thing is now- I may be moving out there soon.

 

No, no meeting this weekend (July 26-27). On Monday I'll likely cancel the library room for August 2 in Titusville and we can just head on over to the Orlando meeting instead and see what's up. I'll post again once this happens.

UPDATE:

I just cancelled the library room in Titusville for this Saturday (August 2). Please do not show up there, since you'll be alone. The Melbourne meeting is cancelled for this month. Instead, we can head on over to the Orlando group's meeting since there's so few of us here right now anyway.

I hope I get to see ya all there! I think we will get a decent amount of people this time around!!! I hope. Atleast it is not that bad a drive- better then when it was held at the Altamonte Library off Hunt Club.
