Welcome to the August New Stories Index for the Before the Saga Board!

This Index will be updated daily with new fanfiction stories from this board, and at the end of the month all of these stories will be combined to make a master list, along with fics from both The Saga and Beyond the Saga Boards.

I will be maintaining this index. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a Private Message. I will try to locate new stories every day, but you're welcome to send me the info for your fic through PM.

Below is a list of common terms and abbreviations used in this forum that will be helpful for readers searching this index using the find functions in their browsers:

EU - Expanded Universe (all of the books)
JA - The Jedi Apprentice books about Obi-Wan's youth before TPM
pre-TPM - takes place before the movies
AU - alternate universe
OC - original (author-originated) characters
GFFA - Galaxy Far, Far Away
H/C - hurt/comfort
vignette - a one-post story, especially a single scene
humor - lots of silliness
angst - anguish, torment, fear, anxiety
crossover or x-over - mixing Star Wars with another movie, tv series or book
round robin or RR - multi-author story inviting more people to join in (also called an add-on)
song fic - a story based on the lyrics of a song

Title: A Tale of Two Padawans

Genre: Pure fluff, with some silliness mixed in for good measure.
Characters: Mainly Obi-Wan and Bant with occasional appearances by Garen, Reeft, Qui-Gon, Tahl, Yoda, some OC?s, etc.
Summary: A series of short vignettes focusing on Obi-Wan and Bant?s childhood friendship. These are intended to be more fun and bizarre than anything else, though knowing me there will be touching moments too.
Disclaimer: Obi-Wan and his master belong to George Lucas, Bant Eerin and co. belong to Jude Watson, and any OC?s belong to me. I?m not making any money off of this.
Notes: A big thank you to the ever-wonderful Kestrel_Kenobi for talking me into posting my Obi/Bant stuff and for providing me with random word prompts to help me think outside the box.

Summary: Just out of prison for crimes he did not commit, Jali Dawler, ex-Coruscant Security Officer, follows a series of events to uncover those who framed him.
Disclaimer: Star Wars is not mine; I just like to write with it. The original characters are my own creations.
Note: This fic is very different from anything else that I have attempted before, more of a genre experiment than anything else. If it goes well I?ll continue it with another two fics with the same set of characters.
I owe a lot to the ?experts? of this genre, as well as my various EU sources to give me the gritty realism that this fic needs. And even though Jali smokes, I don?t and am opposed to smoking except for dramatic purposes.
This fic is recommended to be read by mature audiences. It contains coarse language, sexual references and drug use.
