FF:NSW Aussies and our beloved SW

Does anyone else think it will be weird to see so many aussie faces in star wars? Will it be good or bad? I like the fact that we didn't already know a lot of the faces in the old star wars. I have no doubt that they are highly skilled actors, but it will all seem that much closer to home. Like having Mission Impossible set in Sydney. And "Nudge" from hey dad is doing voices? That's a worry, I hope I can't recognise him.

 

Well, if it's the same exquisite and unique quality of such highbrow programmes as Neighbours and Home and Away ...

... then I wouldn't touch it with a 40 foot pole.

 

Well, it's definitely gonna be weird. Joel Edgerton And Claudia Carvan from The Secret Life of Us are going to be in it (now, that is the BEST SHOW).
don't you just LOVE stealing the limelight from those Yanks? We're going to be saying "Oh, that's so-and-so from whatever show it is!" (I can rattle off a list right now - Bonnie Piesse from High Flyers, Lara Cox from *cringe* Heartbreak High...) and they're going to be sitting there going "Huh?" *cackles evilly*

And I must say he looks rather cheesy. There is something un-nerving about him being there. I guess it's only some of the actors, such as Jay Lagaia and "Nudge" that worry me.

 

I love the fact that "Jake the Muss" is in it.... wouldn't it be great if the greatest threat to the galaxy was a big, drunk, wife bashing maori bloke?!

But its all good, Rose Byrne is in it, HELOOO AUSTRALIA! She'd beat NP on a good day!

 

Very True temeura morrison kicks arse! Rose is very good too. Plenty of aussie's worked on it too. it'd be nice to get a gig on the 3rd one.

 

i dont mind if jay lag'aia is in it. at least the yanks (well, some) will be forced to let us do the dirty work. i think aussies are better at acting than they are newayz.

I don't mind the actors being there. As long as the movie doesn't come out looking like Mission Top Secret it should be fine.

I started watching Secret Life just because Claudia and Joel star in it. I'm still watching it cos it's a damn good show.

 

Yeah, me too!! heh.. How absolutely rock is Joel gonna be as Owen.. he like just totally suits the part, man...

 

So Paul, how much did you like Joel?

 

Not as much as I like Claudia. Mmm, Claudilicous...

 

It'll be good to see Owen become the man he is by the expertly grumpy fathering of Jack "Clancy of the Overflow" Thompson.

 

It'll be interesting to hear the Aussies talk.

Anyone watch Secret Life tonight? The gay bartender dude was refered to as Obi-Wan and he replied "You've taken your first step into a larger world". Pretty funny considering the amount of Star Wars actors on the show.
