Well thanks for stopping by DC. I think I'll join your tour, but I'll be brief here, I've got a lot of catching up to do. Poland seems very nice, though somebody should post some info

Consider me completely ignorant about Poland and tell me a bit about your country. You don't have to write an essay or anything, but just a bit about what it's like over there

 

Firstly... Poland is European country, and it's not at Syberia in Asia as many Americans think
Secondly... Poland is over 1050 Years old ountry, although it was several times erased from maps (Russia, Germany Austria)
And going further:
tadeusz Kosciuszko was one of our defender, at the end of XIVth century, he was also fighting for freedom in America against British forces.

Right now we have dum politicians, and I'm not sure of our Future

But here, on Wikipedia you can find much more about Poland

 

Heh, stupid politicians seem to abound everywhere.

That's a lot of great information. I shall have to read more of it when I have time. Perhaps someday I will make it out there for real.

TBM, come to Wroclaw Especially from 30th June to 3rd July, there will be fantasy convention, with quite big Star Wars part

 

There's a lot to see in Krakow, don't miss the Castle of Wawel and Sukiennice!

This Dragon... it's an old polish legend.
Long time ago, in a cave under Wawel Castle, there was leaving a dragon... it was cruel dragon, he was hounting for people, eating them, and burning houses, but then, a young bootmaker Dratewka, prepared a sheep filled with sulfur, and put it before dragon's cave.
When the dragon noticed that sheep, he ate it immidiately, and as soon as he gulp it, it started to burn him inside.
he went to the Wisla River and started to drink the water, but this eaten sheep burnt him constantly. He was drinking and drinking, and growing from the drunk water, that finally, he drunk off all water from Wisla, and cracked into pieces. Dratewka have prepared very good shoes from dragon's leather
