5 US Naval Destroyers, Transports and Aircraft Carriers arrived early this morning at Garden Island in Sydney, along with the HMAS Newcastle which is back for it's birthday before heading to Iraq.

 

I thought there a few ships up at townsville this weekend as well, I heard that the general nightlife gets a pick up when a few thousand sailors spend the weekend painting the town red.

 

Try chatting with drunken American sailors. Biggest security leak out there. My g/f and I went to a party in Surrey Hills where some US sailors turned up - total randoms. I had a conversation where each sentence started "Dawg, I shouldn't be telling you this but..."
