We certainly have a colourful version of the english language here, even though we don't see it used much as we used to given the overwhelming American influence. Words that are universal like "mate" "cobber", the unequivical "no worries" and "she'll be right" and not to mention the aversion to "yanks" and "poms". How many of us use this on the JC, other than on Australia day? (remember PS's thread in JCC?) I occasionally use the word "mate", normally when I'm trying to get someone to quiet down so I can explain something to them (like an EU flamer ). Anyone else? BTW, I've noticed how a lot of Americans object to "yank" even though we still call them such and will continue to do so.
