I noticed in previous Author Analysis threads, all the links produced Error messages when clicked on - so I've compiled them - I think I've gotten the links right so they'll work from now on. Also - I'm wondering if any of the mods would like to nominate the next Author after Miller, since it's been more than 2 years since the last thread. Offhand, Zahn and Michael Kube-McDowell seem like good examples of authors that haven't been covered yet. Maybe some of the newest ones - like the Empire & Rebellion authors, might do as well. Thoughts? Karen Miller Tom Taylor David Sherman & Dan Cragg Welles Hartley Jude Watson Rob Williams Karen Traviss Jan Strnad John Jackson Miller Ron Marz Steven Barnes Chris Cassidy & Tish Pahl L. Neil Smith Jeremy Barlow Dan Wallace Alan Dean Foster Paul and Hollace Davids James Luceno Daniel Keys Moran Elaine Cunningham R. A. Salvatore Sean Williams and Shane Dix Greg Bear Kathy Tyers Darko Macan Vonda McIntyre Walter Jon Williams Kristine Kathryn Rusch Roger MacBride Allen John Ostrander Steve Perry Brian Daley Barbara Hambly Dave Wolverton Troy Denning Ann C. Crispin K. W. Jeter Sean Stewart Haden Blackman Greg Keyes Michael Stackpole Kevin J. Anderson Matthew Stover Michael Reaves Aaron Allston
I am suprised Tom Veitch is missing from the list. Funny to see Randy Stradley's pseudonym is included...
John Whitman for the Galaxy of Fear series, Alex Wheeler for the Rebel Force series, and Ryder Windham for a large number of books, also spring to mind as worth covering at some point.
Are those authors who primarily work on sourcebooks prohibited from this list? A lot of the work Daniel Wallace, Jason Fry, Abel Peña, etc etc, have done isn't strictly summary/review so much as compiling what we already know and then elaborating on it, sometimes to an extreme degree (and frequently written in an "in-universe" POV as well).
Given that Dan Wallace was included, I would guess others could be, as well - Bill Slavicsek from West End Games would spring to mind.
