I think Temple is the best he's done so far.

Actually, rather than one of the HC's, I'd rather see him tackle a single novel or duology staring Page and his commandos. The small focus and missions are more his style than something so far reaching.

In that category,.....Finale to the "Yuzhon Vong Era", I guess that I would have to vote for Greg Keyes, who just wrote "Edge of Victory/2 : Rebirth"....mostly because I liked the way that he handled getting Han and Leia back together, on comfortable footing, once again. She cannot replace Chewbacca, nor would she try....but, there is no one else that Han would want in that Co-Pilot`s seat more than " Her Worshipfulness".
On another note, I have been lobbying to get the great Anne Rice to write a History of the Sith.....wouldn`t she do a Masterful job of that Saga !

I've only read Odom's most recent novels, so maybe he has improved.

Oh, and aren't Judith and Garfiel Reeves-Stevens the weird people on those TNN Star Trek commercials?

I hope RAS could finish it too. I'm really getting into his DemonWars books.

Actually, to whomever said the Reeves-Steven's would never touch Star Wars, they have written Star Wars. (Tales From the Mos Eisley Cantina.)

I'd pick Peter David, or (doubtful) J. Micheal Strazynski. Hey, who would have ever seen him writting Amazing Spider-Man each month? Anything's possible.

They will probably go with... Well, I forget his name, but he wrote Shadow Hunter.

(Pipe dream? Johnathan Hales, or even Lawrence Kasdan!)

Oh yea, I forgot about that...I was just thinking they do so much Trek that I can't picture them doing a Wars novel...same with PD, though eh did Skippy.
