NSWRPF Archive Avatar: War of the Light Benders

It has been over three hundred years since Avatar Aang (Who lived to be 200 years old...counting his time asleep frozen in the ice.) united the nations once more. As the last air bender he reforged that which had been destroyed and begain a new era of peace. With King Zuko ruling over the fire nation the world found itself in a state of much peace. The nations prospered like never before but all that has now been destroyed for a darker enemy has emerged from the sands of time. The lost nation of light has returned and only a new avatar can save them.

***Fire Nation***
The Fire Nation had once been so mighty the world trembled befoer them but now they where the first to fall. Only a few fire benders have surrived the onslaught that had befallen upon them when the lightbenders came. Those that have surrived are currently being hunted for amoung there numbers is said to be the last Avatar.

****Water Nation***
The vast cities that belong to the water nation have been all but destroyed and those that have survived have been forced into the ranks of the people of light. Those who are able to bend the water have been sent into the vast deserts of the fire nation and left to die. Those who have managed to survive find themselves unable to bend even the smallest amount of water.

****Earth Nation****
Unlike the fire nation and water nation the people of the earth have welcomed there captures in hope of survival. They are ruled by fear but live happy lives that is as long as you can't bend the earth. Those who can have been forced to build prisons that no water bender could excape. If an earth bender proves difficult they are sent into the land of light...there they will only find either death or acceptance.

****Air Nation****
As the nation of light seeks to conqure the world the Air Nation is the last left to defend it. The decendents of Avatar Aang they are a proud strong people. Though they are a people of peace they alone remain standing against the coming darkness.
They welcome any who seek refuge from this terrible new nation but recently they have lost there greatest City and been forced to the four conors of the world. There Vast Temples have been left deserted...that is all but the Temple of the North.

***Light Nation***
Once considered the most holy nation of the world this Nation had given birth to the first Avatar and seeked to train it's people how to bend all the elements. Though they had never managed to succude they seeked to unite the world under one banner. It was the first Avatar who had banished his people from the world. By binding the very fabrics of time they had been removed from the world. Now they have found a way back and only a few of there own seek to stop there leaders conquest.

Hello one and all this rpg follows the adventures of a small group who seek to reunite the world but there is much they have to learn.

Bio: Before the light nation attacked he was on hanging out with his friends and his girlfriend they were thinking about what they would do with the rest of thier lifes, who knew only half an hour later they would have to figure out how to save their own and each others lifes. he went to try to find them but never did only afterwards from hiding in various places he found out that they were all killed including his family all he has to remind him of them is the necklace (which reminds him of his girlfriend) and his horse(which reminds him of his friends family and nation)so he wont forget where he came from and what he fights for.

His fire nation origins have lead some to believe he could be the the next avatar, however he has has little confidence in the idea. He currently is hiding out in a cave on the beaches of the fire nation.

Bio: Born in the Northern Air Temple, Gan was trained to become a great airbender, born a decnedant of Avatar Aang, many expected great things from him, thise thoughts were well founded when he managed to surpass his masters airbending abilities, something thought impossible. He is now one of the leaders of the defense teams of the Air Nation, and he refuses to let anyone gain dominion over it, he will not allow something the likes of what his ancestor went through happen again.

Bio: Kammi is a very simple girl with vivid dreams. She grew up in a very well to do Earth Nation Town. She had not been through very many hardships and is very new to the concept of adventure and war. As a younger child she dreamed of being part of a revolution however she does not understand any of the realist consequences. She is a very individualist person and would rather lead then follow. She has a lot to learn about the world outside of the one she had been living in. Kammi?s weapon is the Staff. She is not very skilled at it, having only had the need for it recently. Because of her individualism, she did not sit well with being forced to live inside a city and planned an ?escape?. It was a success, however now that she is ?free? she does not know what else to do.

His hair is a bleached brown, to the point of being a dark blonde but is unkempt. His eyes are a frosty blue that may have once been quite nice but are now seemingly haunted.

Bio: Tenku was borne into the southern water tribe at the height of the Winter Solstice, a rare occurance that according to the tribe's culture meant he would be a strong bender, which proved true in the years to come. Unfortunately when the long forgotten Light Nation reappeared and began their conquest sending benders into lands where they were powerless Tenku was amongst the first taken from his tribe. The powerful bender found himself helpless in the deserts into which he was thrown. Or so he thought. The first few days past leaving him severely dehydrated until in desperation he remembered that animals are part water and he managed to forcibly bend the few animals he found's blood out of them and sepperated the plasma and other particles from the actual water and he drank the water portion. Quenching his thirst like this he wandered aimlessly over the next few years until at last he found his way out of his desert prison. His experiance has hardened his once likable personality into one entirely different. He has recently reached the mainland continet of the earth kingdom after using his bending to cross the ocean between. He is currently exhausted from that ordeal but is continuing on fueled by his want of revenge.

Other: Is a student of the Bei Fong style of Earthbending, relying on attuning his senses to the Earth and gaining an extra "sight" through this process. He is also able to artificially bend metal because of this.

Bio: Born in Ba Sing Se, he hated the constant watch of his people's conquerors. As he grew he learned to sneak out to the areas of the outer walls in order to learn earthbending in secret. Using his earthbending, he helped the poor in the city. However, his bending was discovered when he was fifteen and he was forced to flee his homeland. Traveling by foot, it was luck that he stumbled upon a hidden school of Earthbenders. Here he was instructed in the Bei Fong style of Earthbending, soon learning to "see" not only with his own eyes but through the eyes of the Earth. Upon leaving the school a master in Earthbending, he began to prepare his future as a thorn in the lightbenders' sides. After befriending a wounded Shirshu and raising it back to health, he quickly rose to the top of the "most wanted" lists in the Earth Kingdom. He attacks with ferocity against the people who have peacefully enslaved his people. Some may call him extreme but, to him, they deserve every last casualty. However, unlike some mercenaries, he does go out of his way to prevent any civilian loss of life. His enemies are only the lightbenders and their army, nothing more.

 

OOC: Sorry everyone but I'm unable to expand on this rpg. Thought the story would work itself out but I'm going to try and develope the story more before I bring it back. In the future I plan on remaking this rpg but I'm going to wait until after the last eposide of Avatar to do it.
