    :) All the more interesting since Hemsworth might be an MIB agent. Apparently some fans are taking MarvelStudios tweeting FANTASTIC in all caps as
    the fantastic four popping up in the MCU. But with a Doom solo movie in the works at Fox, I would be real surprised if this was the case.

    Right, exceeeeeeeeeeeept... FOX moving forward on Silver Surfer and Doom news in the last week is very likely FOX hedging their bets on shepherding the Disney/FOX merger through quicker (and a counter-balance in case it falls through).

    Plus, if they're in pre-production and Disney likes the direction -- they can move forward.

    If we get a freakin' Noah Hawley Doctor Doom movie, I honestly don't care what continuity or universe it falls under. Maybe it can be a crazy Logan-esque one-off. But I'm sure it'll be weird and on it's own enough that hopefully it could be folded into the MCU if the deal goes through.

    Honestly, I think this has more of a factor into the release date change than anything else, though minimizing how much Disney's movies cannibalize one another was probably the next most important one. Black Panther did the simultaneous launch thing to great success.

    Plus, let's face it, the whole "let overseas word of mouth/reviews build to boost the US launch" thing that they did for Thor was no longer necessary the moment Avengers 1 happened.
