There has been a suggestion of a fanfilm viewing for Aprils activity. What days are good for peps?
Sounds like fun. Any Saturday should wourk for me as of right now.
I would like to suggest "Once Upon a Jedi".
The 15th and the 22nd works well for me
I am going to bring one of two films (or maybe both!):
I'd like to volunteer my place for this event, because I want to give back a little, and because I have the means to make this pretty cool I think.
1. My apartment is fairly small. I couldn't accomodate more than 8 or so people at most.
2. Seating would consist of the floor, or bringing a chair. Actually, I would recommend a bean bag chair, or a big comfy pillow if you have one.
I still have a couple of things I need to do to make my theater room/bedroom complete, but I can take care of them easily.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Yes, I do
We should have the event at your place because you have a REEEEEEEEEEALY big screen.
I could make it on any Saturday.
I'll bring "George Lucas in Love"
I'll probably be available any Saturday.
I'd like to see "Your Lightsaber and You".
Also I know Riley's been dying to see it again so I'll bring the Star Wars Holiday Special.
MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA
Just kidding. But I will bring my video collection and let others decide if there's anything worth watching.
I'm out of town on the fifteenth and I'm not sure when I have to leave for San Fran, but I'll keep things up to date.
Mary, if you are out of town on the 15th then why don't we plan for the 22nd so that you can come!
All in flavor say 'w00t'!
Wait...I can't come.....still, w00t!
Well....you could come...it would be one heck of a drive though
soooo......should we plan for a time then?
How about 4pm? 5pm? We don't want to make it too late because we are going to watch 4-5 fan films
w00t! I mean... the earlier the better, that way we can be sure to watch everything before people have to start leaving. Pfft, you mortals and your silly need for sleep.
I'd like to come to this. Where is it going to be?
Oh, and if there is still any slots left, I'd like to see Troops again.
I could make it any time after 1pm
wOOT for the 22nd. I can make it after 2pm (or thereabouts)
Anybody want to see "The Skywalkers"? (I'm biased, I worked on it.)
The current plan is to have it at my place, however there's a snag. I use a projector and a wall to watch movies. It looks pretty good, but fanfilms have the annoying quality of being tiny little Quicktimes or something that would look ridiculous blown up to the size of my screen, so the whole idea may not work at all. If it were DVD or even VHS quality, it would look amazing. But little movies don't look so hot.
If anyone has suggestions, I'm open, but for now the venue may be up in the air. It may be better to do this somewhere else if anyone has a nice basement and a big-screen TV.
"The Skywalkers" is on VHS, surely it can't be the only one on VHS or DVD?
I have a copy of Troops around here somewhere.....*searches*
I'm going to try and contact the film makers to see if they would be willing to send me a copy of their films on DVD.
I have Troops on DVD too.
If there's anything midweek, I could bring along a couple of my own DVDs of fanfilms which I've collected. I made up one DVD full of serious fanfilms and another one of funny fanfilms. I won't be there on the 22nd though. I leave Utah the day before.
I don't have any fanfilms, so....yeah.
So has a venue been decided on yet?
For the moment I believe it is still at Nic's place.
He was just worried that we would have problems if we can't get the films in DVD, but I don't see a problem with that not happening. We may have less films that first planned...but hey...it's all good!
