Zeth Durron rolled out from under the caf table. He was so bleary eyed from the boozing the night before that he didn't know where his jacket was & how had he wound up under the table?

He frowned and used the Force to stir his mental faculties a bit.

Oh, it was his brother's bachelor party the night before. He was marrying one gorgeous lady was Kyp.

There'd been a fight between two of Kyp's Jedi friends. Zeth had broken it up by pouring half a bottle of Whyren's Reserve over the instigator's head.

"Hey!" Corran had protested. "That's the good stuff!"

"I'm good for it." Zeth had winked.

Corran had said to the dripping antagonist: "Next time you insult a guy's mother wait till after the party would you?"

Zeth had the great-grand-daddy of all hangovers, but he had an old reliable remedy for that.

He scowled as he made his way over to the dining area. Every move ached like stampeding Rancors were doing a dance in his head.

He found his brother there already nursing a steaming cup of caf.

"Hi." Kyp said. "Thanks for breaking up the fight last night."

"Don't mention it." Zeth said offhandedly, pouring himself a cup.

"I was surprised you made it." Kyp said, striving for casual.

Zeth winced. "You mean you were surprised I came at all."

Kyp shrugged.

"Well, now that you mention it ..."

Zeth frowned and had to admit that he had always felt he stood in Kyp's shadow. He couldn't even gloat when Kyp had a temporary brush with the Dark Side and then Kyp had to find a lady like Liz, while Zeth couldn't seem to find the "right" one.

Kyp, among others, told him he would probably find her when he stopped looking so hard.

Zeth's sense of rivalry often got him into crazy adventures, but the last time he'd wound up in bacta for two weeks. After that, he decided, this whole competitiveness thing was not worth cutting his life short.

Now Zeth said aloud:
"Despite our good-natured sibling rivalry, I really am happy for you, Kyp."

Kyp grinned and gave his brother a gentle one-armed hug.
"Get some rest before the ceremony. I don't want you looking all bloodshot."

Zeth laughed.

"That sounds like a brilliant idea." He agreed, downing the rest of his caf.

You know, creativity is a really interesting thing. When I sent in my request, I was going for something gloomy. And you turned into an uplifting pretty fic but still included Zeth's dark-ish thoughts. That's actually really cool. And giving Kyp his brother back is awesome, isn't it?

We should bring all the dead characters back to life. Make it a project for 2014.

Very nice! Why is it that male bachelor parties almost always end up in a fight, but the female bachelorette parties usually end up with some really good and embarrassing holovids.

I totally agree. Mara Jade Skywalker, Anakin Solo, Jacen Solo, Chewbacca and so many more were lost needlessly. Ah, if only if it was all a bad dream.

Part Two

Liz was stunning in a silky, white wedding gown, which had a flared skirt. Roses accentuated the hem and sleeves.

As she made her way down the aisle, she caught Zeth's eye & thought: He better not have forgotten the rings.

He gave her a wink, as if reading her silent hint.

She then met Kyp's bedazzled eyes. He was gazing at her like a lovestruck adolescent, much as he had the first time they'd literally run into each other.
He looked so happy...
She felt her tummy flip. He loved her so much it humbled and thrilled her at the same time.

They exchanged their original vows before the officiator.

"Liz, I promise to love, cherish, respect, and give you a sense of home and happiness, like you've given me. I could never hope to find a better friend, lover, or life-partner. I will love you until my last breath."

"Kyp, I promise to love, cherish, respect, and give you a sense of home and happiness, like you've given me. I could never hope to find a better friend, lover, or life-partner. I will love you until my last breath."

When he kissed her, she felt his love fill her up from head to toe.

She leaned in close to whisper as they made their way to the exit:
"Right after the nuptial toast, we're slipping out."

"That's the plan." Kyp winked.

During the hoverlimo ride, he could not keep his hands off of her.

She laughed:
"You'll be helping me out of this soon enough." Was her promise.

"It can't be soon enough for me." He grinned, green eyes sparkling.

"You're incorrigible." Liz teased.

"Consider the source." He said, kissing her slowly.
