Yeah, I really doubt that the director of a film would tell their kid actors, "if you need to go to the bathroom, just point at yourself down there, even if we're filming!".

I think something innocent is being needlessly sexualized, here. If it actually is the kid's hand, I really doubt he was aware of what he was doing. I don't know if I buy wocky's bathroom theory... I mean, kids are only allowed on set for a short amount of time, so I think he'd have time to pee. Maybe his costume was uncomfortable, or something... I don't know.

 

On a third, previously unnoticed hand: don't kids of this age have some kind of handler? A guardian that is only there to pay attention and corral them? Surely making a gesture at the camera is not what any person would do, considering the number of staff around the camera.

I accepted the bathroom explanation because the kid probably thought he was being subtle. Seeing as how the vast majority of people who watched the movie didn't notice the hand gestures, he wasn't exactly mistaken.

 

That's totally his hand.
