Calgary Backpacking with Luke Thread.

Just to let everybody know Luke has left his starting location and was recieved safe and sound at the first Fan Force.

Here is a list so far of where he is going.

As you can see we are getting Luke within the next little while. We get to keep him for about 2 weeks then must mail him off to the next chapter.

Let get some Ideas where we can take some pictures with Luke around the city. When we are finished with Luke I'll send all the pictures off to his Myspace blog for posting along with a write up of what we did and where we went with him.

Lets get some Ideas up guys. I know Calgary can get pretty blah in the fall but there has to be some cool places to take pictures with him around the city and out lying area.

I don't know when he's going to be coming from Edmonton to Calgary, but i'm up there every 2nd weekend if we need someone to transport out here...
Oh, and as for ideas, how about the cool couch statue off of 17th Ave? Or one of the cow statues?

 

Yeah we can do those. I was also thinking COP, The tower, Saddle dome. Any other thoughts?

 

Drumheller!! Or Lake Louise??! Or Banff!! I'd volunteer to drive him out there....

 

Luke is just been sent off from Charlotte heading to Edmonton. We will see him soon.

 

Just wanted to let you all know Luke made it safely to Edmonton, we took him to a Halloween party last night and he went trick or treating

We should have Luke soon. Lets get some Ideasd ready. As he is making a tour of Edmonton the next two weeks and will be sent to me around Nov 11. SO we should see him around the 15-16th.
We'll schedule a meeting and get everybody together. Cause we will only have him for 2 weeks then we have to send him off.

 

Santa's coming to the mall by then - we should get a picture with him! he he!!

Luke will be on his way shortly. Let get some ideas when we can take him around town. I was thinking we can get a picture at Chinook mall with the t-rex as well. Calgary tower. Saddle dome. COP. Definatly @ Red-5. Posibbly Boba Jays. Any other ideas guys post them We need to get this rolling.

 

Booba Jay's? Is that a Star Wars strip club or something?

I fixed it now but I would bet booba fetts might be a strip joint in a galaxy far, far away.

You've never seen the t-rex @ chinook. He's all metal and made from a scrap heap.

That is pretty cool! It looks like it was complicated to build. Other than the Dinosaur Adventure at WEM, there isn't much else to do with Dinosaurs up this way. Hopefully I can go to the Tyrell Museum next summer after they finish re-doing some of it.

It's right by the food court. If you go down the escalator you'll run right into him.

 

The same guy also did a horse - it's massive! Downtown on 8th Avenue and Centre Street. Right beside the Salk Lik.

Luke has Arrived. Picked him up today at the mail. He's al ready to bed down for the night here in my office. I hope he feels right at home.

Luke has been having a great time with the ladies! We took him to our bellydance recital and I have an awesome video of Luke getting down with some shimmies and hip circles! It's a big file - how can I get it to you, Prelude?

 

I'll be handing off Luke to Kent to take to the Fame for Food event tomorrow, after class. Got some great pictures of local downtown spots. We need some more ideas before he gets shipped off on Monday!
