I ended up having to miss this. Sounds like you guys had a good time even without AOTC.

I'd be interested in AOTC on Saturday night as long as the weather is decent.

Just a reminder (mostly for Dan) that I'm showing "Grafitti Bridge" tomorrow in my back-yard.
However, on the geek-tip, even my friends on the Prince boards are talking about how it'll be more like an "MST3K Show" as you can't possibly watch it without heckling it (Regardless of the quality of the music).

I would love to be there, but I'm already going to a house warming party. Graphitti Bridge is one of the all time bad movies. Although I have known some Prince fans in my day who loved it.

Geez, I can't believe I missed Purple Rain and Graphitti Bride. I especially wish I could have seen Apollonia by the lake on the big screen. Are you going to do Under the Cherry Moon? I'd love to see that one.

I liked Purple Rain but I think it was only because I was reminded of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

Just a reminder that this Friday we'll be watching the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (non-extended).

    Gate opens at 6pm.

    Fellowship of the Ring 7:45pm-10:40pm
    The Two Towers 10:45pm-1:40am
    Return of the King 1:45am-5:00am

If people really want to watch the Extended Versions (except for RotK of course) we may just have enough darkness. The people who show up can vote on which version they want to watch.

End civil twilight Friday 7:24 p.m.
Begin civil twilight Saturday 6:06 a.m.

Civil twilight is right when it's dark enough to start watching movies if it's clear skies.

Someone also suggested going to the lake afterwards to watch the sunrise. Dunno if anyone'll be up for that, but I figured I'd post it.

I don't know how much of this I'll be able to make, if any... one of the guys that I trained with at work is leaving, so we're having a farewell party tomorrow night. I may try and head down to Dave's after that, and perhaps catch the latter part of FOTR plus the other two. OTOH, I may be in no condition to drive such a distance... ;)

It was cool! I left at 5:06 am, congrats to myself, Phil (even though he snoozed through half the films), Le Peng, and Dave for surviving all 3 films. And the other two guests from the LOTR circles, whose names slip my mind at this hour. Second place goes to Carrie for lasting till 3/4 of the way into the third flick.

Ray it was nice to meet you! Le Penguin it was cool to finally meet you. Gonna run now, I'm about 3 seconds away from falling asleep on the keyboard.

Since I've decided not to spend my own money on the DVDs (although I won't stop others and have put it on my Amazon list), I'll be stopping in to check out the extras DVD on Friday.
