    Clickie

Resently you'd know him a Marcus Aurelius in "Gladiator" and Dumbledorf in the two Harry Potter movies.

He was one of the good ones.

"He was one of the good ones."

That is so true. What an incredible actor.

1st movie I ever saw him was "A man called Horse".

the two Horse movies are outstanding. And probably some of what he is most known for. He will be missed.

And one wonders where this leaves the Potter movies now. Do they recast? I would think they would almost have to since Dumbledore is a rather large character in the series as far as I know

Actually, I read an article that said the movie studio had already started to search for a replacement when Harris first went into the hospital. Just in case, you know. As it turns out, they had to use a body double for some of the shots for Chamber of Secrets. I imagine we'll see several shots of Dumbledore walking off or rounding a corner ahead or something like that.

And I also hear they brought in Aaliyah's brother to voice over the lines for Dumbledore's body double.

OK....that was a bad joke. Sorry.

Ironicly enough, it's being rumored the Christopher Lee (Count Dookula) will be his replacement. Not a bad choice.

Yeah, if that actually pans out, it'll give Christopher Lee the fantasy franchise trifecta. SW, LotR, and HP. A trilogy of trilogies (to a degree). I think it'll actually make the transition easier from movies 3 to 4 when they (possibly) change the entire child cast.

According to an article I read Lee was actually the original choice for Dumbledore but was busy with both SW and LotR at the time so was unable to accept the part.
