In TPM I remember there was a line where they mention the "senator from ALderaan, Bail Antilles". Am I hearing things or did GL screw up big time?

Dude, Bail Antilles has no relation to Bail Organa or Wedge Antilles . Bail and Antilles could be very common names in GFFA .

I knew that, but the coincidence's still a bit odd. I mean, why reuse names when it only serves to confuse people...

I know Antilles is a common name in the GFFA, but I thought it was more of a Corellian name.

look at this it explains everything, well it doesn't but that's just because it can't really be explained.

Bail Antilles is Bail Organa's predecessor in the Senate.

Antilles is not only a Corellian name. After all, there is Captain Antilles from ANH and he's presumably from Alderaan since he accompanies Leia on Tantive IV.

Any relation between Captain Antilles and Bail Antilles? It would seem likely.

He does like to sow confusion, doesn't he? Augh, my head hurts.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what happened.
