You know, during the previous games, the dictionary answer never was the right one. Thought that was somewhat the whole point of it, that they seemed to be made-up words. Are you using a different Balderdash than the previous game?

 

During the previous Balderdash, there was no dictionary answer, since Tyi made them all up(or so distorted the original word that they became something like the real word, but not quite, so even if they did have the original word's definition, you would have no way of knowing, since it would not be the same word). I am using Balderdash words, or I was, when I thought people might not simply type them into Google or a dictionary. Now I shall have to alter them a bit.

This is Balderdash, where the point is to make up your own answers, unless you do happen to know the word, and, off the top of their heads, I have never played Balderdash with anyone who has, not to take one from the dictionary.

 

Ah, okay, I get it now. Having only played the previous version of Balderdash on here before, I thought the dictionary answers were supposed to be the obviously wrong ones. Like Nebuchadnezzar turning out to be a champagne bottle rather than a king.

 

Well that's not entirely true. I know Tyi used a word that someone definitely knew the definition of at least once. I can't remember which word it was though.

 

Well, Nebuchadnezzar (the wine bottle), was a word I learned during an enology class. We were learning about wine bottles, shapes and so on.
