Indeed. CBC, CTV, TVO etc. are still making their "Canadian content". Of course, the Vancouver BSG set has shut down, and presumably all the cable channels here are running reruns or reality TV. Or Canadian content.

Let me just state for the record that there is no need to kill this thread at 10,000 posts, because the ritual of doing so came from a time when the board code would screw up threads over that number. The code has long since been fixed and threads in excess of 20,000 posts exist on the boards.

You're going to kill it anyway, because you're monsters.

 

I had always wondered why they closed. So, is there really a need to do so now that the code has been fixed?

 

There's no need for interlacing anymore either, but cameras are still being made that shoot it.

 

When I was young and not very learned, a friendly mod told me that they lock them so that it seems more accessible to new users.

 

It's either this thread, or a whole lot o' kittens.

OH, and on a side note, who else here HATES those plastic "clamshell" packages that electronic accessories come in? Every time I open one, it leaves me on the verge of suicidal insanity.

It's 5 AM and I've just got up after about four hours of sleep. I think that has something to do with the fact that I have a film to have finished by 15th December. I actually love the pressure of a deadline - I do easily my best work under it, and really miss the hard work once it's done, oddly. Obviously I hate it right now. Before we set ourselves a release date, we were sort of dragging our feet.

 

A figure of speech. Besides, I figured that if I did them all in one row, it would strech the page, and I hate that.
