Anyone else banned from editing Wookieepedia? I got banned for asking too many questions on the Knowledge Bank that were "not canonically answerable". I was told all the time to go to the Jedi Council Forums but for some reason my old computer wouldn't let me post anything. So I got banned infinitely and now that I have a nice new laptop I can post on this.
you were banned for asking too many questions? oh lord i've heard it all, *makes a note* never..use..the..wook.again
I dunno, pretty sure the encyclopedia was out of date before it was published, despite the hard work of numerous peoples on it.
Yeah I still use Wook a lot, but I can't edit it at all. Either way TJCF is much better cause you can ask way more stuff than just "canonically answerable" questions. Like actually use it as a blog ya know? I have The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia (about a year ago for 60 bucks....half of the normal price and off Amazon too! They are now selling at 70 thought...) and it's great and all and fun to read but doing it online is much easier than having to look through three different volumes. And most entries are only a quick summary, if that, so you kinda have to use Wook to get all the nitty-gritty. And plus it goes out-of-date in a few years (just look at the Darth Maul story), and I don't think they include "non-canon" material. I do like the EG's thought. I have the Essential Atlas. And I'm thinking about the Warfare one. And I have the complete cross sections book on all 6 movies...but even still Wook is the way to go to get the best info. But it's ridiculously strict and the admins take it waaaaaaaaaaay too seriously. Like it's their life or something. They got all P-O'd at me and at first banned me for a day, then 1 week, a month, and then finally forever. I got banned for a day for forgetting to put a timestamp when I replied to comments.
I think that if you asked so many Star Wars questions that you got banned from a Star Wars related website for being overly enthusiastic, that's a good sign that it's time to take up whittling.
I whittle all the time when I have to study for a school test. I've got 5 decent hiking sticks, and one that's stained and looks all ornate and nice...lol
