Banner Open Call

This thread is a general all-forum thread. When a forum needs a banner, the forum mod will update the thread with the information.

 

First up: SFF: Books and Comics.

The new Wheel of Time book is coming out, and since it's a HUGE event, we really need a banner for it (and asap, too). Basically, we just want the cover:

The title is The Gathering Storm, and we'd like that in the banner. Other than that, really no requirements; just as usual, we need the forum's name in there.

We'd love the person or people who make one SO MUCH, especially if you can do it really FAST. There really isn't an end date on this; the first banner that someone posts that we think works is what we're going to take.

Oh, and by the way - we're giving COLORS. So pretty pretty please help us out

This thread is a good idea. Hopefully you'll get a lot of interest.

 

If I were a bit more read up on the genre, I would try to chip in an attempt.

Gunny - you don't need to know the book or the series or the genre; we just need a cover turned into a banner. I can show you an example of a Deathly Hallows banner, and the current NSWFF resource banner is basicall just part of te cover of the book The Well of Lost Plots.

 

Sounds interesting, but I've never made a banner in my life and I hate those 'face' banners.

 

I'm not a big fan of the big head banners either.

 

We're looking for more something like this:

That's really weird - it's working for me.

Anyway, basically I just need a regular-looking banner made from that cover.

I have no idea how to do that on an HP

 

Don't you have a key on your keyboard that says 'print screen'/'prnt scrn'? Just pressing on that button will give you a screencap of whatever is currently on your screen. Afterwards, all you'd have left to do is paste it in Paint or whatever to save it as a picture.
