So NM Banner Thread

I was hoping with this thread being started it might lead us to getting a banner more quickly. I've seen the preliminary banner, and I think it's good, so Andrea, how is this coming? You posted in the June meeting minutes that it wasn't going as well as you hoped, so are you changing lots on it?

Just getting antsy because it'll be great to see something new on here, but I guess I shouldn't complain because I'm not nearly as talented as you are when it comes to this (meaning I have no idea what to do). I think this is the thing we should push for getting done next.

Alright, well anyway. I'll show you examples of ideas and stuff... though none are coming out as I had hoped.

OR FF Banner #1 ... Some of you have seen this, and I changed the browns to purples. It doesn't look that good in threadview, though.

OR FF Banner #3 ... I like this banner best, although there are obvious problems. I can't even get the proper pictures to come up in my own computer, although it looks alright in other computers at my house. The color scheme is awful, but I couldn't find the right one that just fit.

You may be wondering... I saw banners 1 and 3, so where's 2? Well, I made a second one. It's fairly cute, all Dagobah-y, but it's quite dark, hardly characteristic of our FF area, and downright difficult to make a color scheme with.

I'm still up for any and all suggestions.

 

I like the Banner #3 except I think it would be better to have The Outer Rim up top instead of going down the side if possble.

Both are good...I kinda like #1 though. It is funny, especially if you spent any significant amount of time in Las Cruces... (6 1/2 years, but I finally got my degree!!!)

I finally got one together that I like. It's a variation on #3. So, I bring you Message View #4 and Thread View #4.

Yeah, Heather is getting the ball rolling on the banner. If you guys have it locally hosted, it would be even better, but I think someone is supposed to PM you about it, Andrea.

 

I will be hosting it on my NMSU webspace for now; I think it's reliable enough for the time being, considering Shara is apparently backed up with requests.

DarthJurist will be working on the stylesheet later today, as she said in her PM.
