    Hey guys and gals-
Just popping in to say hi again

I am actually on my way out there in November (tuscany)
and thought I'd find out what the weather is like during that time.

I work in Footwear. I am a wholesale rep for a shoe company.

@DarthGyos: In november it should be quite cold here in italy. But I'm not sure that "our" cold has the same meaning of yours... ;)
About the work, I think that in Italy there's a good market for footwear, maybe you'll find something! [face_good_luck]

@Apophis: So what's going on in Belgium? Just wondering where do belgian peolple go on holiday usually?

@beezel26: There are some other italian bands/singers known in the USA? I'm wondering if the "italo-american" community listen to italian music?

The last few weeks it was very hot here in Belgium ...

And Belgian people go on vacation on many places. Just where you want. :)
I went to Turkey in July. Also a nice country ...

To be honest most of the time european bands are looked on as a novelty. But every now and then a good band comes along and really changes things.

And as far as the italian AMerican community, mostly older people will listen to older italian music. the kids are all different.

Hey everyone! I just got back from a long trip, and part of it was in Italy..i went to: Napoli, Roma, Venizia, Montecatini, Firenze, and Toscania (sp?). I had so much fun, I especially liked Lido de Jesolo.

@Apophis: Yes, Rome and Florence are wonderfull cities and have a lot of charm! Other than roman seems you like aegyptian mithilogy too, isn' it? ;)

@beezel26: To be honest in italy is the same for other european bands. We listen to a lot of american or brit artists, but very few of our neighbours... Have you heard Guano Apes? They're a german band that i like so much. A cuple of yaers ago they should have come to the US too.

@darththunderbird: I'm very happy to hear that you have a good time in Italy! :) Seems like my fellow countrymen have done a good job! ;) But let me know, do you like Lido di Jesolo for the discoteques or what? :D

Yep, I'm very interested in mythology. It's quite fun ... :D I like to read those stories.

I'm also very interested in the Italian language ... I like to learn it.

Btw : I know Guano Apes -> Lord of the Boards ...

Yes mythology is quite funny, greek particular. Aegyptian is more mysterious and can be the subject of some funny theories (like Stargate-SG-1 ;) ).

About the italian, if you alredy know some, feel free to use it here. :)

Ciao, arrivederci, buona mattina, buona sera, buona notte, silenzioso ...
    Ti amo ;)

But I always want to learn more ...
I studied Latin for four years btw.

As a SW fan do you wait for all books and videos to come out in Italian or just get the English version.

    And those are ... ? :p

We don't even have a Dutch version of some books. I always buy the English version now.

@beezel: SW in Italy has a very small market. By now we don't have any new book translated since the Jedi Aprentience 1,2,3 and 4... The situation here is very sad! :_| For the comics and others merchandise (like action figures etc.)is axactly the same, so who wants to have them must order the english version/edition.
By myself i'm not so fanatic to buy averything, but by now i'm waiting for some comics ordered from Amazon.uk.

@apophis: If you guarantee me that none of the mods knows italian, maybe i'll write some... :p.

Here in Belgium it's the same for comics and books.
There are only a few books in Dutch and only the Clone Wars comics are in Dutch.
All the rest is in English and you can buy them only in one store ...

And Gunnm, you can always PM me ... ;)

That sucks. but at least you have the internet. I remember the dark days back in late eighties early nineties when we couldnt get much sw stuff as well. I treasured every book that came out. now I get kids that talk about finding SW after the Special editions.
