What a great director! And he's hardly ever mentioned or discussed.

He's got his "Baltimore" series of films:

Diner, a hilarious comedy that was also his debut film
    Tin Men
    Avalon
    Liberty Heights

As well as a whole bunch of other great films:

The Natural, the classic baseball movie
Good Morning, Vietnam, the unforgettable Robin Williams Vietnam flick
Rain Man, about the idiot savant brother
    Bugsy
    Bandits

and a whole bunch of others. What an underrated director!

He has directed some great films, such as Wag The Dog, Young Sherlock Holmes and Good Morning Vietnam. He has also directed unmitigated disasters, such as Sphere, Sleepers and Toys. I think he is an inconsequential director with an erratic track record. He is not underrated.

I thought SLEEPERS was quite good.
