Some news on who's going to score the film. You might be surprised. It's a collaboration.

    Awesome.

Howard is one of my favorite composers and Zimmer is usually pretty good, too. I hear these two are great friends so this should prove very interesting.

Is that meh geared toward Zimmer or Newton Howard or both? :)

Personally, I'm not too big on Zimmer. Off the top of my head, King Arthur's score (as it was heard in the film) wasn't particularly memorable.

I am interested, at the very least, to hear what he comes up with for Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven.

After Signs I can't wait to see what ideas Howard has for The Scarecrow's theme.

    And like that...he's gone.

Agreed, Signs is a brilliant score. Howard's best so far.

And as long as Zimmer doesn't crank out any Bruckheimer-style power anthems as his contribution to the score, I'll be happy.

Hmm. . .I've always wondered how composers collaborate on a score. Music seems too personal to work together effectively -- unless they simply each do different portions?

If he does have a theme.

Well, it worked on The Egyptian.
