No, his strong suits are "honorability" or lack thereof. That and trolling comic book related threads.

There's nothing wrong with liking the fourth film. I like it. I also like the third film as well.

What's great is that it distilled down the essence of Superman and translated it in a way that was universal, much like "All Star Superman" did. It's not just that it was the first one of it's kind to take it mostly seriously, or how great a performance Reeve gave the character. But it really and truly showed the world what Superman is all about in a way that then previous versions hadn't. That's not to say that they were bad adaptations, but the Donner film could go further than that. It was for all ages and the material was treated as such. Even as bad as what Lester and Furie did with those films, along with the writers, they still captured the core essence of the character. It showed that there is something more to these comic book characters than what was thought of. That it wasn't simple kiddie fare to be dismissed.

Could you explain? Even if you're presently more excited about future projects they are viability will be based on the reception of the present one, which should be a function of its quality. Therefore I have no idea how you can be excited for something "regardless of quality."

I like things that are, objectively, not good movies because they entertain me. I'm assuming there are billions of other people like that...

I will enjoy this one regardless of the quality, on some level. If it's bad, it'll be entertainingly bad. If it's good, it's good.

I can understand where Penguinator is coming from. Unlike most people here, it seems, I actually like Snyder's movies, so I have no doubt that BvS is going to be electrifying. However, even if I had a lower opinion of Snyder's potential, I would still be excited about this movie because it pairs up, for first time in live action, the two greatest superheroes in the genre. I'm going to love this movie regardless of its artistic or commercial failings.

I too know where Penguinator is coming from. As of now, we don't know the quality of the film that is Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice; however, there's an excitement for the film much in the same way there was excitement for Star Wars - Episode One - The Phantom Menace. In 1999 we did not know the quality of TPM, but almost every Star Wars fan was excited for the film.

One thing i did not like in the trailer. Batman hits the building, looks back, he sees heat vision coming at him, we have time to see batman catching the glow in red, he them turns and swings away just before the heat vision hits him. Well, it looked sorta cool but just how friggin slow is heat vision?

It's a "character pose" montage for the trailer. We don't know that those shots are supposed to be part of the same scene. Even if they are, they will likely be edited differently in the finished film.

You already answered your own question. Why do we keep searching for 1:1 logic in these movies? It's not there.

And because having learned nothing about how trailers are cut we're assuming it's the same thing and not an edit designed to make stuff Look Good?

The movie is more than half a year away. It could just be an unfinished shot of some sort. I'm surprised we got a second trailer already.

I think it was said that Jim Gordon is dead in this film, so Babs could wind up being a cop and starting on the road to being...
