Right now I too personally think they're equal.

I personally like Duel Of Fates better. But with all the colaborations that have been going on these days.Has anyone ever thought about combining the two.Now ALOT would haved to be changed, and there could be alot added and removed.May sound cool to some, may sound stupid to others. But it's just an idea.I think it would be a neat experiment.

I like Duel of the Fates better. For some reason, I think it is more memorable to me, even though I still enjoy listening to Battle of the Heroes. Fates just has so many great parts. The chorus is great. The part when Darth Maul appears on Naboo and the fight begins is awesome. I do think Heroes is more epic-like, but Duel of the Fates is my favorite and I think goes better with a lightsaber fight.

I would have to stick with DOTF on this one. The overall feel of the piece is more intense than BOTH (And so it should be: BOTH is a tragic piece, and DOTF is a passionate one) and I think it is the best lightsaber-dueling music out there.

Very tough question because both are so amazing, but i'm gonna have to go with Duel of the Fates: to this day it still gives me chills and i was VERY thrilled when i heard it in ROTS :D

I voted BotH. There's just a feel to it that screams Star Wars!! Maybe it's all the key and meter changes. Maybe it's the constant flowing and churning in the strings (signifying the lava flows - at least to me). Maybe it's the emotional pull. Whatever it is, BotH feels more like film music than does DotF. DotF feels more at home in the concert hall, in my opinion.

I think there is a part of Duel of the Fates in the Battle of the Heroes, in the Musafar light saber duel between Anakin and Obi - in the movie

Duel of the Fates, because BotH is too much like Amistad for me to enjoy.

    Extremely hard to choose. :p

With regards to listening to either Battle of the Heroes or Duel of the Fates as a standalone piece of music, outside of the films - I would choose Duel of the Fates.

With regards to these pieces in connection to the actual predominant scenes in which they are used in the films and how they personally impact me (sight and sound combined), I would choose Battle of the Heroes.

Duel Of The Fates - This one sticks out more and is more memorable for me. BOTH is good but doesn't feel as epic as DOTF for me.

Duel of the Fates is incredible. Not to say Battle of the Heroes isn't, but Duel of the Fates has something more, but I can't put my finger on it.

Duel of the fates came first, so I just have a memory connecting it to epic battles. both are amazing, but DOTF has some nostalgia too it, ive used it in many school projects since.
