One thing that I want to know that I never knew about BF1 was how is it's mod community? I don't follow the PC side of things when it comes to BF1 or BF2 for that matter, but whats the modding community for this game been like?

I know that Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy has a strong mod community, but what about BF1?

 

Check out gametoast.com. There are lots of really great user-created maps and mods on that site - some of my favorite maps I play are ones I got from there.

 

A guy I know has a question about this game. Note I've never played it, so I can't get further information on it, though it seems fairly detailed.

"OK, finished historical campaigns, clone wars and the other one (can't remember what it's called). I'm tryin to beat Galactic Conquest. I've got as far as beating Endor, but it's got like little 'bubble' things next to it that seem to light up, and I cant figure out how to light them all up, there's like 4 of em. I beat Endor, which appears to be the last planet to beat, and it tells me that the 'Republic Empire has conquered the galaxy' when I complete it. So, I assume that I have to start a new game of galactic conquest and beat it using another side such as the Empire etc etc to light up those bubble things.

Is that it? Just keep beating Galactic Conquest with all the different factions? And if I start a new game on Galactic Conquest, can I save that to my existing save file? Or should I make a new save file each time I play through GC? Cause if I want to use someone else (Empire, CIS) I have to choose 'New Game'."

Anyone want to help him out?

I'm trying to decide to eithetr buy battlefront 1 this one for 20 bucks. Or # 2 for 50. I'm buying one of them but can't decide which. Which should I?

Ditto. Bought this game two weeks ago, and it is fantastic, really immersing me back into Star Wars, which I had left for a few years.

Lasat night I played the Rhen Varr level for Instant Action, and the hover tanks you can commandeer as a Rebel are the best!
Take on AT-ATs shot for shot and go head to head with Imperial battletanks. Sweet.

I had thought we were limited to airspeeders (barely controllable) and tauntauns (transport only), but these things are great!

Playing on PS2 as my PC isn't up to the modern games.

 

Hello gamers: any of you want to help Wookieepedia?

It's come to our attention that some of the names Battlefront and Battlefront II gives the computer-controlled players (especially those of Rebels) may be misinterpreted as characters in the Star Wars saga who have known histories. Of course, in the "real" continuity, it's unlikely that those characters would have been present for all of those battles. So, since it's unclear what characters with that name may have done canonically, we've decided not to write articles on them, since all we could say about them is their name. This hasn't stopped some people from assuming they can actually say something definite about the characters, though.

We're making a list of these names in this article: if you have a minute, please add any names we're missing. Thanks!
