BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (4-hour miniseries)
SCI FI re-imagines the groundbreaking and beloved series in which "a rag, tag fugitive fleet'' of the last remnants of mankind searches for its true home. Fleeing the aliens responsible for the slaughter of their homeworld, the Battlestar Galactica survivors must meet a whole new set of challenges. This intriguing twist on a classic will be written by writer Ronald D. Moore (Roswell, Mission Impossible II) with Breck Eisner (Steven Spielberg's Taken; The Invisible Man) attached to direct. Distributed by USA Cable Entertainment, the project will be executive produced by David Eick (American Gothic, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Spy Game).

Battlestar Galactica is as close as we get to a Star Wars TV series - if you ignore the hopeless later "flying motorbike" series. It even had many of the same special effects team.

The pilot episode is available on DVD (I bought it when I got the Episode I DVD), and the entire series boxed set is due about June. I still need to buy a DVD player though.


Currently Knight Rider is (hopefully) a film, but David Hasselhoff is/was trying to get a new series AND a cartoon series as well.

As for knight rider the less we see of David hasslehoff the better, was out at my grandmas house and she was cleaning out her cupboards and found her david hasslehoff cassete Ugh 60 minutes of cheesy badly sung songs....need I say more

Yes, YouAgain, "Knight Rider" is a talking car - the original series is being repeated on TV4 at 7:30pm, Sunday nights, clashing with Prime TV's "Enterprise".
