For fans of the new BG...

The second novel based on the new BG is in stores. It is a prequel to the new BG. Takes place twenty years before the new BG. Younger Adama, Tigh, and Tom Zarek are in it. Also old school Cylons are used. Best of all decomissioned Colonial Viper Mark ONEs are in the novel. These are classic show style fighters.

Issue number one of the comic book based on the new BG will arrive Wednesday. It's about frakkin time!

What was the fighter that William Adama flew when he was a pilot?

For sure a younger William 'Husher' Adama and a younger Paul Tigh flew the Colonial Viper Mark 2. But they most likely also flew the CV Mark 1. The co-opted CV Mark 1 is exactly identical to the classic BG's Starhound Class Viper. Watch the museum sequence in the revised show's mini-series. Slow-frame through the museum sequence. You will spot a CV Mark 1 near the CV Mark 2s. The CV Mark 1 was used in combat during the Colonial Conflicts that preceded the First Cylon War. The First Cylon War prompted the development of the CV Mark 2. Officially no information has been released about the CV Mark 3 through Mark 6. It is possible that a younger Adama and younger Tigh also piloted the Mark 3 and Mark 4. War ushers up new designs rather quickly.
