Amph Battlestar Galactica- The Novels and Comics

This thread is only for discussion of the novels (and the comics whenever they start up).

Today the first BSG novel, The Cylons' Secret, came out. I already picked it up but it'll be a little bit before I get the chance to read it. Hopefully some time next week.

Anyone else interested in getting the novels?

 

BSG#1 is taking so way to long to come out.

 

I had noidea the novel was out. The BSG comic comes out 8-20-06.

 

I don't think so. Comics only come out on Wednesdays.

 

#1 isn't out yet? I guess that's good. I thought I had missed it somehow.

 

Today is Wen. so maybe it comes out today. Is the book anygood? Has anyone read it yet?

I haven't read it and doubt I will, but the next one, being by Peter David, is mildly interesting. Not enough so that I'll read it.

 

It comes out 8-30, not 8-20 my bad.

 

The fact that this book takes place before the series is what makes it interesting to me. However, i'm still reading Bloodlines and will get to this book after that.

 

I'll read it probably, just because it is BSG.

 

And now they're announcing that Zerek is getting a 4 issue mini-series.

I presume you mean the NEW Battlestar, as I would be interested in discussing the novels of the 1990's written by Richard Hatch. The comics of 1996 werent half bad either.

 

I read the first novel by Hatch and it was pretty good but it certainly showed that it was his first attempt.

 

DE is also starting a new line of Classic BSG comics.
