Amph Bazinga! The Big Bang Theory Thread

When I once commented that you may be fundamentally impossible to classify, you responded by posting a solution key to an impossible Rubik's cube configuration. I have reviewed the sequence dozens of times now. It's first six components are: R B U' B' R D.

It has become clear to me that the only way I can ever hope to decode the truth is by having the person who designed the encryption complete its sequence. So there we are.

I was summoned. Yes, I do not like this show. It is lazy with it's use of stereotypes and often unintentionally misogynistic. Yes, I have given it a fair try. That's all, goodbye.

 

This has become one of my favorite shows. I could watch episodes over and over again, and they always make me laugh.

 

Sheldon, Howard and Raj looking for the cricket, Amy and Sheldon breaking up and Sheldon getting cats or the episode where Raj and Howard try to find out what Sheldon is doing in the locked room are the best plot points imo.

 

I'd argue that finding out whatever cricket that was was awesome and not pathetic.

BTW, this show actually had a thread years ago but it basically got beat up by the feminazis who insisted this show was the scourge of all women. And basically as a female you must be screwed up if you liked the show. And the guys only liked it for Penny. It was really funny to read them go on and on about how bad this show was. By the end they looked worse then the show.


I like Bernadette. She is cute and approachable.

 

beezel's criteria for liking someone: someone whom he can talk to.

 

Bernadette, she is both pretty and smart. The height issue can be overlooked.

Penny is hot, but she's so dim.
As Bob Newhart said in the episode where he played Professor Proton - "What do you two talk about?"

 

Not only is she dim, but she's lazy with what little intellect she does have.

I thought that was the idea. Most comedies are pretty dumb when you look at them in any serious way.

So are numerous other TV comedies, in fact some are intentionally offensive (South Park anyone?). I don't see why that makes it unfunny, or are so many people butthurt by the fact the show makes fun of nerds?
As a nerd like many here, I am happy that such a show has made loving geeky stuff cool, and turned characters that don't conform to social conventions into household names.
