How are you today?
Well, had a bit of a funny night yesterday.
Let's just say... things look WAAAAY bigger on camera.... I'm kidding, I'm kidding!
We're just taping stupid stuff right now, like me talking about the different frame rates of the video and the computer behind me. (I'm such a geek!)
Ooh, tell me about the funny night!
I had a pretty quiet one last night. There was a movie, beer and scrabble involved though!
I'm such a geek
I find that so endearing!
So, is anyone still listening? Have we won the task yet?
I'm back guys!
How's Saturday working out for you?
Well, remember the cute brunette I talked about?
Last night, we talked (I came to her), but during the conversation, I just kept thinking: "No. Wrong turn. Don't. You don't want this."
Physically, I thought "Yes", but mentally, "No". Somewhere in the middle I just had to show my unwillingness, not very tactfully, which caused her to back off a bit.
Very un-me to do that.
Awww, thanks Kerryn... I thought my hubby was the only one who found my nerdy quirks endearing.
Well boys and girls, I think we're going to go out for supper and to see Signs again. I'll post again later this evening...
Oh, BTW way, the answer to the trivia question was that Winona's family used a Ryder truck when they moved from her birth place in Minnesota, and she decided it was beginning of a new life for her.
Not too bad. Just got off work. The work day went really fast which was nice.
Have fun Meg!
Casper - was there something she said that triggered you, or was this just a feeling you had?
I think it was a feeling I had, Kerryn. Though she wasn't exactly the most interesting person in the world to talk to, anyway. Much too superficial for me.
Ah okay. Well you have to learn to trust your heart in some cases even though it may seem like it's a bad idea. You live and learn.
Of course I'm the last person that should be giving out relationship advice!
Tom - I love those days! Unfortunately, they seem to be dragging on and on this week.
Oh, why weren't you born in Holland, Kerryn?
Because my parents don't speak Dutch?
I'm actually trying to find out our family history at the moment. I can go back 3 generations in Australia, but my great grandfather was an orphan, so there's a dead end. He adopted his own name for himself as well (my surname now) so that only his decendants have this surname the world over. It's kind of cool!
Yeah, the days where I have nothing to do are getting more common as the Summer drags on. But if there are actually people on the boards that I can talk to those days go even faster than the ones where I'm busy all day.
It will be weird when fall quarter starts, and I actually have work to do.
I know my family's history, too, because we've always been rich snobs who recorded every bloody thing. We're all over the world: South Africa, the US, Australia.
I have some mad ancestors, I can tell you that.
Actual work?! Don't speak of such things!
I have some mad ancestors, I can tell you that.
Heh. I wish I could say the same thing, but I don't know a damn thing about them!
Did they have evil castles and mad henchmen as well?
EDIT: Never mind. I should learn to shut up.
Kerry(n), Casp(er), Meg(an), To(m), hey there! Just saw MIIB Good watchin'
Yeah, they moved to Australia in 1951. I'll explain some other day.
But enough of that! Time for a song.
My favourite "Things Have Changed" by Bob Dylan.
A worried man with a worried mind
No one in front of me and nothing behind
There's a woman on my lap and she's drinking champagne
Got white skin, got assassin's eyes
I'm looking up into the sapphire tinted skies
I'm well dressed, waiting on the last train
Standing on the gallows with my head in a noose
Any minute now I'm expecting all hell to break loose
People are crazy and times are strange
I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range
I used to care, but things have changed
This place ain't doing me any good
I'm in the wrong town, I should be in Hollywood
Just for a second there I thought I saw something move
Gonna take dancing lessons do the jitterbug rag
Ain't no shortcuts, gonna dress in drag
Only a fool in here would think he's got anything to prove
Lot of water under the bridge, Lot of other stuff too
Don't get up gentlemen, I'm only passing through
I've been walking forty miles of bad road
If the bible is right, the world will explode
I've been trying to get as far away from myself as I can
Some things are too hot to touch
The human mind can only stand so much
You can't win with a losing hand
Feel like falling in love with the first woman I meet
Putting her in a wheel barrow and wheeling her down the street
I hurt easy, I just don't show it
You can hurt someone and not even know it
The next sixty seconds could be like an eternity
Gonna get low down, gonna fly high
All the truth in the world adds up to one big lie
I'm in love with a woman who don't even appeal to me
Mr. Jinx and Miss Lucy, they jumped in the lake
I'm not that eager to make a mistake
