On Monday October 11th BBC4 begins a run of shows about the horror genre as well as some movies. Mark Gatiss will be presenting part 1 of a 3 part series called A History of Horror at 9pm. The first show will chart horror movies from the 1920s-1940s and should include the Universal Horror golden age when they created greats such as Frankenstein, Dracula, The Invisible Man & The Mummy. At 10pm BBC4 will be showing the classic 1935 James Whale movie Bride of Frankenstein starring Boris Karloff & Elsa Lanchester. Following at 11.10pm will be Transylvania Babylon, a comic exploration of the cult of Dracula. Horror lovers and fans of early cinema should tune in.
