Buff, NY Bday Party Request - February 23

I am in, Elizabeth has to work so shes out. I can do whatever you need, in costume or taking pictures\wrangler.

 

I emailed the parents to see what they wanted to do. I advised we will need more costumers to perform the Jedi Academy and offered to bring all the available costumes. Once I hear back, I'll update.

 

I may have to back out of this.

 

Updated first post with all the information I just received. We have the green light to bring everyone.

Would any tentative people please update you status?

 

Kyle, are you up for being Vader? I can wear either costume, just let me know.

 

I've been under the weather the last few days, so I don't know if I can make this. Keep me at tentative for now and hopefully I'll feel better so I can say for sure.

If I do though I'll be showing off the new pilot costume. It's warmer than the Luke costume

Chris, I'm going to have to back out of this one. My car is going to the shop for much of the day and the Mrs. needs a ride for her errands. Sorry.

But I'll make it for the meeting, though. No problems there.

We're down to 4 people. Anyone with a costume willing to come out for the day, we could sure use you. Just got word that Elizabeth may be tentative now. We may need a photographer with Elizabeth tentative and Elaine sick.

 

I am feeling better so I'll be there.

I've never done anything with the Jedi Academy so I dunno how comfortable I'd be teaching something I don't know.

 

Basically I will be narrating a simple duelling pattern for the kids with toy lightsabers.
You will be the demo teacher, standing in front of the kids and performing the routine for them to follow as I call out the moves. You'll also pass out the toy sabers as I ramble, and then distribute diplomas.

We'll go through it before we're live on-stage, and it goes pretty slowly.

We generally have the teacher use an FX saber that lights up for effect and easier for the kids to see. I'll bring along a Mace Windu FX saber in case you don't have an FX yourself.

 

Bryan, it might be easier if you wear Luke to help with the Academy. It's up to you. Either way, you're Luke.

Sounds like Elizabeth gave us a scare, but she'll be there to take pictures for us.

Actually, there is a precedent for Luke in a flight suit with a lightsaber, so I can work it in to the script.

 

Sounds good. I'll wear the pilot suit but not the helmet, and bring my Luke saber.

If we can get a practice in, I'll def. helpout with it.

 

I'm hanging in there. I still plan to attend unless I relapse tomorrow. I've been coughing for a week and it's getting very old.
