Beauties at C3

my one complaint:"hot leia" (christie) isn't featured more prominently in the group photo

 

Hot Leia has a name?

 

Believe it or not, I was watching my old Celebration 2 videotape yesterday, when I noticed something.

At one point during the video as I walked down a hallway, I panned right a little bit to capture a Han and Leia couple who had stopped to have their photo taken. I squinted and saw that it was none other than C3's "Hot Leia" and her Han companion!

Unfortunately, she was wearing a disappointingly unrevealing Bespin Leia costume.

But still-- pretty weird, huh?

 

Was it the pink Bespin Gown or the Hoth Jumpsuit. That Jumpsuit.... MMMMMMMM

 

It was the maroon Bespin Gown outfit.

Sorry to disappoint.


P.S. Do you even wonder if she is reading these posts? C'mon, someone who's that much into costuming must post here.

 

If you had a bunch of perverts running around taking your picture and then talking about it on a BBS would you want to know what they are talking about?

Yup. Her name is Christy Erkel. She's been featured in some newspaper articles about Celebration III (along with Jimmy Siokos, who is Han Solo). They are both longtime SW fans who have attended a lot of conventions in costume. Yes, they were both at Celebration II and I as well. She's building a website, from what someone else said (he actually TALKED to her, rather than just take pictures of her...) It's www.ChristyMarie.com. I believe they are both from Southern California (of course...)

Foo, I figured she did have a name, and a personality and all that good stuff. I just think its funny how "Hot Leia" has become more of a persona, as if she is out of the expanded universe, than anything. And yes most of those just snapping her pic probably could careless if she was a real person or not, I just find it interesting to note things like that. I will be checking out her site and I do remember Han from CII.

 

Was scanning this board today and came across this thread, and registered so that I could share some more pics. You women all do a great job w/ your costumes... Keep up the good work!

KOB - I talked to her for a minute to get her picture, and she seemed really nice. She was beautiful in person, and I would have liked to try to hang out and talk to her some more, but I felt kind of akward with her son standing there.

 

Easy. Make friends with the son first..... Then move to her. EVERYBODY'S comfortable!
