Uh.....I guess I'm the only one who's excited about this news.

 

Well, to be honest i think that news goes under the "Ah-Duh!" catagory. They did the some inbetween stuff of ep1 and 2, of course they will capitalize on this!

I'm happy, just not surprised

 

Understood, but I think they will be taking it to another level with The Clone Wars.
Sure there were books that came out between TPM and ATOC (Chancellor Valorum's Big Adventure, right?), but this will be chronicling one of the biggest events in the GFFA. And when you count the cartoon in the works, I think we're in for something a little different than what we saw before EP II came out.

Call me the eternal optimist.

 

I think of it more like Shadows of the Empire, since it had books, a soundtrack, toys, video games, etc.

Of course. Ya know, I avoided SOTE like the plague when it first came out. I thought, how the heck are they gonna have a soundtrack for a novel? I understood the games and toys, but the whole soundtrack thing threw me off a bit. However, I eventually woke up and read SOTE in late 1996. Then in 1999, when I started to listen to the SW soundtracks at work on my PC, I found myself starving for new SW music. The only place I could turn to was the SOTE soundtrack, and I loved it. Sure, it was clearly NOT John Williams, but I did enjoy it nonetheless.

I hope the the Clone Wars publishing program will be twice as successful and twice as exciting as the SOTE publishing program. I'm talking about a complete Clone Wars action figure line (It could be another aspect of the Saga line featuring characters from the novels, comics, costumes, video games and whatnot), a Clone Wars soundtrack, additional video games, etc.

ANYTHING THAT WILL HELP SHORTEN THE WAIT BETWEEN EP II AND EP III!!!

 

I personally like the in between books. THey make the wait shorter and it can create a lot discussion (debate).

I know Russ is just waiting for me to buy MORE books.

 

See, I was hooked from the get-go with Shadows of the Empire.

I thought it was so neat they had all those tie-ins for a book. Granted it made me have a craving for them to do the same thing for Heir to the Empire, but thats a whole other story.
